The Native Gift Shop is located in the ‘House of hewhiwus’ (House of Chiefs) Complex, and next door to the ‘tems swiya’ (Our World) Museum, in the traditional territory of the Sechelt Nation At the Native Gift Shop we prides ourselves by offering an extensive selection of west coast native designs on quality giftware and souvenirs; design styles from BC First Nations native artists from the Coast Salish, Kwakwiutlh, and Haida cultures. Handcarved jewelry and artwork in silver and gold; yellow and red cedar; plaques, talking sticks, masks, and pottery. Our selection of quality giftware include popular items, such as, crystal candleholders; siverplate spoons, and bowls, glassware, cups; Christmas ornaments, cards; pewter jars, frames and glassware. We have over 300 Native theme titles in our extensive book selection. Our categories for our books, are NWCoast Art, Culture, Ethnobotany/Technology, Young readers fiction, Native Author non-fiction. Childrens books which include myths and legends, coloring books and young reader books. Museum entrance is by donation. Sechelt Farmers Market (motto ‘make it, bake it, sew it, or grow it’) every Saturday (April – Oct) from 8:30am – 1 pm located in the parking lot in front of the store. Save our site under favorites for the next time you need a gift, for weddings, grad, birthdays, retirements, housewarmings, or when visiting an elder. Store and Museum Regular Hours are Mon – Sat. 10-5:30, (April – Sept.) Sat. 9-5:30, and open Sunday 10-4 (July-Aug.)
